Quick Search for Documents in Robin

Robin's Legal Intelligence Platform provides powerful search capabilities to help you locate information across your document library instantly. Whether you need a fast keyword lookup or quick filters, search streamlines document discovery.

Search using Dashboard Filters

• Navigate to Documents in the Legal Library
• Use the filter dropdowns to refine by:
  • Permission Group - Filter by document access groups
  • Document Type - Filter by contract type (e.g., Service Agreements, NDAs)
  • Status - Filter by document status
• Combine multiple filters to narrow results. For example, select Type "Services Agreement" in Permission Group "ABC Project" to narrow down the search
• Select documents using checkboxes to add them to a Table or a New Chat.

Search using Keywords

• Click the Search bar in the top right or press Command + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows) on your keyboard
• Start typing a keyword to search everywhere in your Library or choose to limit the results to a specific scope first by clicking:
  • Document Titles - documents with a title that matches the keyword
  • Document Properties - documents that contain clauses or terms that match the keyword
  • Document Contents - documents that contain text that matches the keyword
• Robin will instantly return a list of documents that match the keyword. If you chose to search everywhere, Robin will return a list of all properties and documents with titles and text that match the keyword.
• Click on the desired document to view it in a detailed page or click View All Results to open Advanced Search and see a list of all documents that match the keyword.
• Select documents using checkboxes to add them to a Table or a New Chat.

Search Formatting Tips

Enhance your searches with these operators:

• Exact Match: Use quotation marks to find an exact phrase
  • Example: "force majeure" finds only that exact phrase
• AND Search: Use AND to require multiple terms
  • Example: "termination AND notice" finds documents containing both terms
• OR Search: Use OR to find documents with any of the terms
  • Example: "indemnity OR liability" finds documents with either term
• Combine Operators: Use parentheses for complex queries
  • Example: (termination OR expiration) AND notice
